This is a privileged space. In it are a variety of fruit trees, enough for the family. Produce includes mangos, papaya, damson plum, fruit of paradise, peach, grape, plum, “pitanga”, passion fruit, fig, guava, sour sop, lemon, “nêspera”, banana,” diospiro”, avocado, orange and tangerines.
Between the trees some vegetables are cultivated, also, in small amounts, such as borecole, turnip, onion, tomato, lettuce, carrot, pumpkin, spinach, French garlic, pepper, etc.
As well as aromatic herbs such as parsley, fennel, tarragon, mint, the cider-grass, English peach tree, oregano, etc., sprinkled here and there, decorate and perfume the area.
