Joost and Aletta
Only a week for a quick trip. Get up early to catch the plane (four o'clock in the morning, aarghhh!). Spent two days in Funchal - City Life - and the rest here, in Calheta. A lovely restored cottage house, and worm welcome from a woman bringing us fresh fruit - Eva. We did a lot of walks - Levadas (enyone is OK) and the alternative route to Pico do Areeiro (DoNt TrY tHiS aT hOmE!!!). If you haven't tried Bananas, Espada and Espetada, you haven't really been to Madeira. NJoy!

Thanks for giving us a fantastic plane to stay and relax for our first few days in Madeira. We will remember the views, relaxing in your beautiful gardens and eating a fantastic Espetada listening to the symphony of frogs. It is hard for us to leave now, but we should see the rest of the island. Hope to be back someday.

Nous poursuivons notre séjour a Madère pour quelques jour encore… mais notre passage à Casa do Calhau Grande restera déjà come l´un des moments forts de notre séjour. Une vue superbe, un environnement digne de meilleur carte postale. Calme, sérénité… au final, un petit concentré de Madère en un seul et même lieu!

what a a wonderful fortnight! We had 2 weeks of glorious sunshine and feel very rested and relaxed. We have spent many happy hours in the pool, reading and taking looks at the views. The villa is beautiful. Highlights of the holiday were Porto Santo (well worth a visit), amazing mountain passes, walking in Rabaçal, fun days at Calheta beach… I could go on and on. The restaurant Convento das Vinhas is well worth a trip – we had a beautiful meal there. Machico and Jardim do Mar were very pretty. Sad to be leaving! Thank you! All the best…

We´ve spent an eventful night in Júnior house and the rest of our time in Palheiro house. We´ve loved the peace and tranquility, amazing views, beautiful garden and the sunshine! Hopefully we will be back one day. Thanks for your hospitality.

We are rested and we have had our batteries recharged. Casa do Calhau Grande is full of beautiful details uniquely sculptured from the mountains. We ate the herbs, the chilli peppers and spinach in the gardens. We smelt the flowers, basked in the sunshine and in the staggering view of the ocean. We hope to return soon and will certainly recommend it to all our friends.

We´ve had a great time here at Sapateiro. It has been great to watch the spectacular views and lovely garden with all the colourful flowers. We have experienced all kind of weatger (exept snow) - long sunny days with sunbathing and swimming, stormy weather and lots of rain!! Estos dias en Madeira seran inolvidables para nosotros ya que hemos disfrutado mucho de todo en general: paisajes, comida y nuestro hogar con vistas al mar. Hemos aprovechado mucho el tiempo y hemos podido ver casi toda la isla; personalmente lo que mas a gustado a sido las 25 fontes en Rabaçal. Todo aqui es precioso y nos vamos con ganas de volver algun dia!! Nos despedimos con mucha tristeza por dejar este maravilloso sitio pero con fanatasticos recuerdos que nunca olvidaremos. OBRIGADA!!!
